You're not you label, you're your label

What labels do you plaster on yourself when no one is around? I know, it’s a secret between you and you. The truth is you will live up to the label you call yourself- EMPOWERING OR DISEMPOWERING

In their book ‘SWAY’ by brothers Rom and Ori Brafman, they shared a story about a woman whom her doctors labeled as always overreacting. One day she came to the hospital that her daughter was sick, again the doctors dismissed it two times, and on the third day the child died.

Notice, the moment they labeled the woman as ‘OVERREACTING’ the doctors put blinders in their minds that contradict any evidence of their perception of the woman.

That is the negative side of labeling.

If you label yourself like so ‘I AM NOT A SALES PERSON’ ‘I AM NOT GOOD AT SALES AND MARKETING’ Two things will begin to happen to you:

A. You will start attracting pieces of evidence that prove to you that indeed you’re terrible at selling because you see only what you want to see.

B. You will start living up to the negative ‘I CANNOT SELL’ Label you personally placed on yourself

C. You will lose income, revenue, and money. Sales are what brings money for growth and expansion
