The ability to write words on paper that inspires total strangers to pull out their debit or credit card to pay for your product and services is a fantastic and I dare say powerful idea. With the rate of change so fast in our world which has resulted in less physical interaction with our customers, then it is important that you cultivate, develop, and sharpen the skill of writing.
Your writing should: convince clients for you, sell for you and speak for you.
EVERYONE IS A WRITER
You send out: text, Dm, and status updates every day so that makes you a writer! But writing with the intention to get people to pay you money for your product or services is a totally different conversation.
HOW TO WRITE AND MAKE MONEY

Here’s what has worked for my business writing
HAVE A CLEAR GOAL: Why are you writing that email, Facebook post, etc that should be your guiding light in all that you do on the page. Is the goal to increase sales, get followers, get awareness?
WRITE TO ONE PERSON: Write as if you’re talking to just one customer in mind, imagine you’re talking to just one person in your writing use words like YOU, YOUR, YOU’RE, and reduce words like ME, MINE, I. Remember your client only cares about one person- THEMSELVES. Make your writing about them and you’ll win the vote of their pocket.
THE HEADLINE IS IMPORTANT: Good business writing lead with the headline not the body of the article. Make sure you have a catchy and compelling headline that speaks to how your product or service can help the user. According to advertising royalty John Caples, these are the headline frameworks that should guide you:
A. SELF INTEREST: Your headline must have something that can help the reader, for example, “ HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT IN 60 DAYS WITHOUT WORKING OUT”
B. NEWS: This is because human nature likes novelty or new things, this is the reason why headlines like ANNOUNCING: 5 WAYS TO HAVE BETTER SEX or BREAKING NEWS: THE SECRET OF MAKING YOUR CHILD PASS JAMB EXAM ONCE
CURIOSITY: People always want to know, have you noticed that when content creators put 18 ONLY people tend to want to know why? or VIEW DISCRETION THE IMAGES IN THIS VIDEO IS ……..
