What I learned last week
Last week has come and gone, but the lessons I learned from it will remain with me forever. Track your sales activities: I learned how to develop my own sales CRM tool to track my sales activities like clients I called, what they said, next steps, deal value, deal size, etc. It felt very good that I can use a no-code tool like Notion to develop my own CRM. I will be sharing this tool free with everyone who signs up for my 5-day make sales challenge. To sign up, click here. 5 DAY MAKE SALES CHALLENGE
But there's more to this tool than meets the eye...
From my sales tracker, I realized that the more contact I make with clients, the more sales I’ll make. Now, most people don’t take sales as a profession. How can you start a new week without some form of metric or KPI for the week? I called a client as part of my 20 sales calls a day and boom! She remembered that she needs a speaker this week to speak to her team. She paid me, and I scheduled the class for this Wednesday on my calendar, which I connected to my sales CRM. The power of persistence is just the beginning...
On Saturday, I got a call to speak at a church business conference around Bromley in the UK. This is interesting because every day in my gratitude journal, I write that “I GET FREQUENT INVITATIONS FROM CHURCHES, COMPANIES, AND HNIS IN THE UK AND BEYOND TO DO SALES TRAINING.” When the call came, I was deeply grateful but pleasantly unsurprised because I know the system works. Could this be the secret to unlocking your potential?
I went out for coffee with my wife alone while the kids were in school, and since it was her off day at work, we had a deep time of conversations and reaffirming our 17-year-old love affair. This moment of connection reminded me of the importance of balance in both personal and professional life. What's the next step in nurturing your own relationships?
Thank you for reading. There's more to come in the journey of growth and learning. Stay tuned!
