The personality traits needed to succeed in sales (The 4 attributes of successful salespeople)
Your personality is a combination of characteristics and behaviour that make you who you are. Les Brown said, “You don’t get what you want in life, you get who you are”
If your personality is faulty and inconsistent so will your results. So here are the 4 personality of successful salespeople
1. High self efficacy: This trait means you believe that you have the intelligence, will, and drive to achieve something. You believe that you're in charge and not the external circumstances. In other words you can figure it out. In other words,
Self-Efficacy describes confidence in one's ability to accomplish things. High scorers believe they have the intelligence (common sense), drive, and self-control necessary for achieving success. Low scorers do not feel effective, and may have a sense that they are not in control of their lives
2. Orderliness: Sales people who have this trait are organized, they have self-imposed routines. They keep a list, use a crm, keep a gratitude journal. Those who are not orderly are scattered. They don't return sales calls, don't call back
Persons with orderliness are well-organized. They like to live according to routines and schedules. They keep lists and make plans. Low scorers tend to be disorganized and scattered.
3. Dutifulness: They have a sense of duty and obligation and devotion to their work. They see their work as a way to save their families so they don't play they attack
This strength of a person's sense of duty and obligation. Those who score high on this scale have a strong sense of moral obligation. Low scorers find contracts, rules, and regulations overly confining. They are likely to be seen as unreliable or even irresponsible.
4. Self Discipline: They won't use sales call time to watch comedy or porn. They say no to all expressions of distractions.
Self-discipline can also be called will-power-refers to the ability to persist at difficult or unpleasant tasks until they are completed. People who possess high self-discipline are able to overcome reluctance to begin tasks and stay on track despite distractions. Those with low self-discipline procrastinate and show poor follow-through, often failing to complete tasks-even tasks they want very much to complete.
