how giving helps you get more sales
How to close more deals without pushing, pitching, or chasing
Most salespeople, entrepreneurs, and content creators work harder than they should.
They give value. They explain the offer. They drop the price.
And still, prospects don’t buy.
The problem isn’t your offer.
It isn’t your effort.
It’s psychology.
People don’t make decisions with logic they make them with bias, instinct, and shortcuts. And if you’re not tapping into those, you’re selling blind.
That’s why I built something I call The Invisible Persuasion Trigger.
It’s built on a behavioral economics principle called reciprocity when you give the right kind of value up front, buyers feel compelled to give back. Often, the easiest way for them to do that is by saying yes.
Here’s how it works in practice:
3 Reciprocity Triggers That Flip the Sale
1. The Micro-Consult
Give a tiny win fast.
Record a 60-second audit, tweak a script, or share one quick fix.
The prospect instantly experiences your value in action.
I closed a real estate company with this strategy
Script: “Hey [Name], noticed one small tweak that could boost your [post/call]. Want me to record a 60-second fix?”
2. The Exclusive Resource Drop
Share something you normally reserve for paying clients like a checklist, template, or script.
Frame it as “insider access.”
Script: “I don’t usually share this outside my clients, but I think it could help you nail your next call. Want me to send it over?”
3. The Permission-Based Preview
Offer a bite-sized version of your paid process a mini roadmap, a trial, or a test run.
Script: “Want me to map out a 3-step plan you can test this week? If it works, we can roll out the full version with your team.”
The Closing Line
Once you’ve delivered one of these triggers, don’t stop short. Stack the close.
“Glad that helped! This is just a taste of what I do with my clients. Want me to show you how the full system works so you can lock in more wins like this every week?”
That’s the invisible part.
No pitch. No chase.
Just natural momentum that pulls the buyer forward.
Why This Matters
Sales isn’t about pushing harder it’s about making the yes easier.
When you weave reciprocity into your process, you’re not manipulating people… you’re working with how humans actually make decisions.
Do this right, and you’ll notice:
Less ghosting
Faster closes
Prospects who thank you for selling to them
