I am always happy to see people getting value from my newsletter.
There are rules in every field, some spoken and some unspoken. To do well in marketing your products and services, you must understand the rules of the game. Here are a few of them from some of the greats like David Ogilvy, Dan Kennedy, and Grant Cardone:
“Two years ago, I asked 4 of our people to try and identify factors which usually work [in advertising]. They came up with twelve. I was too polite to tell them that I had 96.” —David Ogilvy
If a great marketer like David Ogilvy, who sold his marketing company for billions of dollars ( As at today $10 Billion) , has 96 rules of marketing, how many marketing rules do you have?
Let’s get into the rules:
TO SELL MORE YOU MUST TELL MORE: David Ogilvy said, “Long copy sells more than short copy, particularly when you are asking the reader to spend a lot of money.”
If you are standing in front of a potential buyer of your product or service, will you be very scanty and brief in describing what your product can do?
I believe you’ll go into the details of what your product can do and the people it has helped.
So why do you write only a brief description of your product in your sales copy or content? Your content is your salesperson in print. Below is the ad David wrote for Rolls Royce years ago that turned around the fortune of the company. The ad was LONG."
THE AVALANCHE AND DRIP: I heard Dan Kennedy say that at every point in time you must either be running a campaign or collaboration that will bring you an avalanche of new sales or leads, and you must also always have your product or services as drips somewhere for people to see that's more constant.
I believe that your WhatsApp status, Instagram stories, Facebook stories, and TikTok stories should always have your product with a call to action—ALWAYS. That's a drip.
GO 10X OR GO HOME: The 10x philosophy of Grant Cardone means, don’t post once a day, post 5 times. Don’t trust God for 10 clients, trust God for 1,000. He believes that if you do more, you will increase the sample size, and if that happens, you’ll eventually get what you’re looking for. The founder of Starbucks coffee, the 9 billion dollar company, said he pitched his idea to 252 investors before he got funding.
By increasing the sample size of investors, he got what he was looking for.
ALWAYS MAKE AN OFFER: Dan Kennedy said you should always make an offer, and that’s not necessarily making an offer to sell your product. The offer could be for someone to join your email list, go out on a date with you, etc. Speaking of making an offer, here’s why you should attend my 5-day make sales challenge.Transform Your Sales in Just 5 Days!

LOOK THE PART: I try to dress well everywhere I go because I believe that perception creates reality. If you sell real estate, for example, let it reflect in your dressing and content because people buy you first before they buy your product.
Below are some of my best style tips for men :
1. Get your clothes adjusted. Most shirts and suits you buy off the rack are not custom made for you
2. Invest in your shoes. Female and Males clients can tell a lot about you from your shoes
3. Your trouser cuffs should ‘break’ on the top of your shoes
4. Own a great watch
5. Have a lot of white dress shirts they go with all jackets and ties
TL;DR
