REVERSE THINKING
Inversion Thinking: Charlie Munger suggests flipping the problem and thinking about what to avoid or what might cause failure. By considering the opposite, one can often uncover hidden risks and challenges.
For example, instead of asking, "What should I do to be successful in this business?" Munger would advise asking, "What could lead to failure in this business, and how can I avoid those pitfalls?"
Inversion thinking is a form of critical thinking that helps in risk management and decision-making. By contemplating the negative aspects and potential obstacles, individuals can make more informed and resilient choices. Munger believes that avoiding the bad is often more important than seeking the good.
Now that you understand the concept, here are the 5 ways to fail in sales
Read lots of sales and business books and do nothing about it
Don’t post frequently about your products on social media to create awareness of your brand
Don’t block out time to make sales calls. You blame everyone else but yourself for why you’re not selling
You take time to answer emails or DM about your products and services: Responded quickly to a whatsapp inquiry and closed a N1,000,000 sales training for a company last week and i have been paid and work has started.
You expect clients to come to you
You depend fully on referrals to get business
You don’t rest, sleep well or take care of your health
You don’t have a sales system for closing sales
You don’t have a marketing system for attracting leads
