I read 5 books in october here are some of the lessons I learned
Books are cheat codes to life and business. The more books you read the more unfair advantage you’ll have in this hypercompetitive world.
I used to be very poor! Books + Prayers took me out of poverty. Here are a few books i read in October.
1. 'The Adweek Copywriting Handbook' by Joseph Sugarman
If you don’t read this book you’re not serious about making sales and understanding marketing
Advertising is salesmanship in print: Every ad is an opportunity to sell, much like a personal conversation.
Repetition builds recognition: Repeated exposure to your content or ads increases the likelihood of engagement.
The slippery slide effect: Each element of your ad, starting with the headline, should compel the audience to keep reading.
2. 'Charlie Munger Wisdom' by Reveal Peters
Build a moat for your business: Strengthen your business to fend off competition by: several types of moats that Munger often refers to:
I. Brand Moat: A company may have a strong brand reputation, making it a preferred choice among consumers. For instance, CocaCola's strong brand identity is a powerful moat that has stood the test of time.
2. Cost Moat: A business can create a moat by producing goods or services at a lower cost than its competitors. This cost advantage can come from economies of scale, proprietary technology, or efficient operational processes.
3. Switching Moat: Some businesses make it difficult or costly for customers to switch to a competitor's product. Software companies that offer integrated systems often benefit from this type of moat.
4. Network Effect Moat: A business may have a network effect wherein the value of its product service increases as more people use it. Social media platforms like Facebook are classic examplesBrand Recognition: Cultivate trust and loyalty.
Economies of Scale: Leverage cost efficiencies to outcompete newcomers.
3. 'Money and the Law of Attraction' by Esther and Jerry Hicks
This book has helped me manifest a lot of good things in my life. It teaches the law of attraction very well
Thoughts create reality: Focused thoughts have the power to manifest desired outcomes.
Magnetic words and feelings: Positive feelings and affirmations attract positive experiences.
Consistent focus: What you dwell on mentally shapes your reality.
4. 'The History of the World' by Will and Ariel Durant
Competition fuels progress: In both life and trade, competition is the engine of advancement.
Strength is survival: Only the strong thrive; continual improvement is essential.
5. 'Neville: The Complete Reader' by Neville Goddard
I read this book on my amazon kindle almost everyday after or before I read my bible. It is a very serious book. The book is so good I just paid £24 to order a physical copy
Imagination shapes reality: The outer world mirrors the inner world; what you imagine consistently becomes real.
Assumptions harden into fact: Beliefs, even false ones, manifest when held consistently.
See the outer as a projection of the inner: The external world reflects internal thoughts and assumptions.
These books provided insights into sales, branding, mindset, history, and imagination—fuel for personal and professional growth!
