I asked top entrepreneurs one simple question: "IF YOU HAD TO START ALL OVER AGAIN WHAT MISTAKES WILL YOU NEVER MAKE"

I asked some coaches and top entrepreneurs one simple question: “If you had to start all over again, what mistake would you never make again?” The result was four mistakes that coaches and small business owners should avoid in their careers. Let's dive in:

Mistake 1: Not Knowing Their Target Market Early and Trying To Sell To Everyone. Too often, people try to sell to everyone at once, sacrificing quality for quantity. Instead of this approach, it's important to choose a target audience, study their needs and wants carefully, and create products or services that solve their problems efficiently. This will help you become an expert in your field - something which is usually rewarded with higher pay than generalists get.

 Mistake 2: Waiting For Business To Come To Them Instead Of Going Out And Getting It. Paul Johnson said Winston Churchill was the apostle of offense for a reason - if you want results then playing offense is the way to go! Be proactive about going after opportunities instead of waiting for them to come to find you; Warren Buffet also echoes these sentiments by saying "We play offense while others scramble for survival".  

 Mistake 3: Not Having A Sales And Marketing System In Place. Your marketing system should be consistent and reliable enough that it can attract new prospects into your pipeline regularly; podcast appearances or YouTube videos are good places to start when building out this kind of system. You'll need a solid sales system too; make sure they're asking the right questions or offering incentives so they can convert those prospects into paying customers quickly and easily! As someone once said, "If you can sell, then you'll never be broke another day in your life!" 

 Mistake 4: Not Shaking Hands Enough With Others Physically Or Virtually!. Get out there more; attend events where possible or head down to coffee shops - wherever potential clients may be hanging around.. Doing this will give money-making opportunities away from just online searches; it also gives mutual trust between yourself as well as existing clients time to build up so future collaborations remain strong ones!
