How to learn anything
Your brain is like the ‘ODOGWU’ or ‘KING’ of your whole body.
It helps you think, feel, move, talk, dream... basically everything!
Your brain is made up of tiny little things called neurons — they're like phone wires.
They pass information around SUPER FAST, like:
"Hey! I can’t sell"
"Ooh! That jollof rice smells GOOD!"
"Let’s remember our my ex ghosted me."
“Plasticity” sounds like “plastic” – but it doesn’t mean your brain is made of plastic.
It just means your brain can bend, stretch, change, and grow – just like clay in other words you are malleable.
So...
Brain + Ability to Change = Neuroplasticity (Brain that can move and change!) That’s why you’re not stuck
If you practice something a lot (like piano or math), your brain wires itself to get better at it.
If your practice making sales calls your brain wire itself to get better
If you make a mistake, your brain can learn from it and try a better way next time.
If you get hurt, your brain can sometimes find new paths to work again.
So technically talent is overrated
This is how I got better at speaking in public. I used to stutter badly, but as I spoke daily even though people laugh at me in the beginning, I have gotten really good to the point that client pay me 7 figures to speak
THIS WAS MY FIRST TEDX TALK 11 YEARS AGO
TRAIN WRECK
Your brain is like a train track.
When you do something new, you build a new track.
The more you use it, the smoother and faster it gets.
So if you practice kindness, reading, CREATING CONTENT or COOKING every day?
Your brain makes those tracks stronger.
but will you make the time to learn?
My wife cooks better than me not because of talent, but because she cooks everyday for me and my 3 sons and i don’t.
It is not talent it is CONSISTENCY
So, what is neuroplasticity?
It’s your brain’s superpower to change and grow by learning and practicing.
Even grown-ups have it.
Your brain is powerful and there is no money making skill you cannot master if you COMMIT
Neurons that fire together wire together
Remember, neurons are tiny brain messengers.
They send little electric signals to each other like walkie-talkies:
“Pee pee! Let’s move this arm!”
“Pee pee! Remember this podcast!”
That “pee pee” is what we call firing. It's like the neuron is shooting a message.
What does “fire together” mean?
If two neurons send messages at the same time — like besties always texting together — that’s called “firing together.”
Example:
Every time you eat chocolate and feel happy
Your taste neuron and happy neuron fire together.
What does “wire together” mean?
When two neurons keep firing together again and again, your brain says:
“Hmm… these two love talking! I’ll build a stronger connection between them.”
That stronger connection is called wiring — like building a bridge or a shortcut between two cities.
Why is this important?
This is how habits, memories, and skills are made.
If you keep practicing piano, the music neurons fire together more and get “wired together.” You get better.
If you always get nervous before speaking, your “speaking” and “worry” neurons wire together. But guess what? You can change that too. (Because… neuroplasticity)
