I used to think getting 24,000 views on a YouTube video was impossible for me.
I’d see other personal brands do it and I was inspired—but I never thought it would happen to me.
Two days ago, I read the 280-page book Making It Big by Femi Otedola. I loved it so much that I made 50 pages of notes. Then I recorded a 30+ minute video and podcast reviewing the book.
That one video blew up:
14,000 views (and counting)
3,000+ new subscribers (it used to take me 8 months to gain 1,000 subscribers)
Here’s what I did differently:
Acted on the nudge from the Spirit of Jesus Christ to record the video
Edited it, cut clips with OpusClips, and shared them everywhere
Detached myself from the outcome and immersed myself in the process
I prayed and called forth the harvest because I believe life is spiritual
The lesson? The internet is not the problem. If we are not selling, not getting views, or not attracting followers, the issue is usually us.
The internet is our friend.
Show up, create, and commit to the process.
