Facts you should know about improving your ability to sell

A lot of things can go right when we make sales consistently, and a lot more things can go wrong when we don’t sell. A great product is not a guarantee to business success it only contributes, sales however can be a moat to your business. Let’s look at moats for a second
“In the context of business and investing, a "moat" refers to a competitive advantage or a barrier to entry that makes it difficult for other companies to enter a particular market and compete effectively. The term is often used in Warren Buffett's investment philosophy, and it symbolizes a company's ability to maintain its market position and sustain profitability over the long term. Just as a moat around a castle provides protection from invaders, a business's moat protects it from competitors.
According to Warren there are 6 moats but for the benefit of this article only two concerns us and they are;
Network effects & Brand Power.
1. Network Effects: Network effects occur when the value of a product or service increases as more people use it. Social media platforms and online marketplaces are examples of businesses that benefit from network effects.
2. Brand Power: A strong and well-recognized brand can create customer loyalty, trust, and the ability to charge premium prices. This is often seen in the consumer goods and luxury sectors.”
You cannot achieve both moats without a strong bias on sales and marketing.
Here are some facts about sales
If customers don’t know you, you don’t exists in their world. And if you don’t exist in their world their money cannot manifest in your bank account. Here’s what happened to me yesterday and how I closed a serious sales training. I chopped up a clip of a sales training I did in 2022 and ran an ad on it by just loading N15,000 into my facebook account manager and BOOM! Someone sent an email based on the Ad. I responded to the email by telling the client to jump on a call with me, I closed him there and then and cash was wired into my bank account.

People are VERY VERY SELFISH AND SELF INTERESTED: Really people don’t care about you, they are number one on the agenda. Your job is to acknowledge that with humility and give them what they want through your product and service. If you can give them what they want, the law of reciprocity will be activated and they’ll give you what you want.
The road to getting what you want is giving people their selfish desires.
