Currently seated at a Café Nero, somewhere in northern England. I switch up my environment because—at least for me—new surroundings spark fresh thinking.
Here are 7+1 insights I picked up last week while running a Sales CRM + AI company:
1. Distribution > Features
It’s distribution, not features, that drives success. Even great packaging can’t compensate for weak distribution. Coca‑Cola thrives not from superior taste, but from world-class distribution.
In my village there is no road network but there is an abundance of coca cola.
2. Be a Painkiller, Not a Vitamin
A painkiller tackles immediate, hard-hitting problems that customers can’t ignore. My CRM/AI tool sells because it eliminates real business pain, fast.

3. Avoid Being a Vitamin
Vitamins are nice-to-haves, but easy to postpone. You want to be essential. Position your product as a painkiller, not just an optional upgrade.
Eating in a 5 star hotel is a nice to have, eating now to eliminate hunger is a must have.
4. One Platform. One Offer. One Avatar.
I nailed a speaking gig at a London real estate conference—spotted the flyer on Instagram, messaged the organizers, and boom: confirmed the next morning.
Lesson: ask—and detach. Focus on the process, not the outcome.

5. Go Live on Social
One client signed on after my free Instagram Live session. I shared five pain points of my ideal customer, taught one live, and transitioned naturally into product demos and bookings. It works.
6. Execution & Iteration > Fancy Launches
Starting a business today is easy—and exciting. But shiny beginnings don’t guarantee success. Execution and iteration are the real game-changers.
7. Your Story Is Irreplicable
AI can copy your tech—but not your journey. Share every milestone: one client, fifty clients—each step builds connection. People root for authenticity.
+1: The Incomplete Effect
We remember unfinished things better than completed ones. Build anticipation: tease the next move. Gaise Baba’s “No Turning Back” hit 17M views—its success came from rolling “coming soon” snippets for weeks. Then, boom: people were primed and ready.
So that’s the 7+1. Which spoke to you, and why?
