3 things i learned this week
Plus how a $20 Million a movie actor used number 1
I believe that if your life is worth living it is worth recording, tracking and reviewing. For it is in the process of reviewing your life that you’ll observe if you’re living in line with your values, beliefs and intentions.
Last week was an interesting week and here are some of the things i learned
Scribble it down: As i write i am currently in Manchester, United Kingdom where i am scheduled to speak on sales in a few hours. From August 2022, i have written ‘daily’ in my journal that i do sales training in certain cities including Manchester.
I still do not believe that a lot of people give credit and attention to the power and agency of written down goals. Below is a picture of my current journal
I feel that you won’t subscribe to my prescribed dosage of optimism so attached a clip of Matthew Mcconaughey this is an actor that charges $20 Million per movie. Hear what he has to say about written down goals. I hope this clip convinced you.
HOW TO WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS
Write the goal in past tense. Don’t write “I want to have a fit body’’ write “I now have a fit body”
Write it down everyday. Repetition is persuasive
Say what you wrote. Add vocals to what you wrote, this lodges it deeper into your soul
Record your conversations with your parents and the prayers they offered for you: I lost my mother 2 weeks ago, before my mother died she prayed a powerful prayer for me and spoke certain prophecies over my life. While she was talking i quickly press record to record all that she said.
Here’s a hack for you. If you live in a different geographical location from your parents, book a zoom video call with them and ask them to pray or prophesy into your life, record the meeting that’ll serve as a rod and staff to comfort you in your dark and uncertain moments on this enormous journey of life.
I play that audio to build my faith. Your parents are special treat them with honor and love. If you are having issues with your parents try and resolve it, if they knew better they’ll do better
