Whatsapp is your mum, dad, and aunties’ favorite app. They use it to share family gist, memories, and community. Today 2 billion people globally use the app. I will explain the importance of this in a minute so stay with me.

A 2 billion people market is not a place you should toy with, WhatsApp means business. Recently I made N600,000 in sales from a Whatsapp community that I belong to, this is apart from 3 paid WhatsApp communities I own. I have done Whatsapp communities from 2020 to date.

By mastering WhatsApp and taking action on the three secrets am about to share, you’ll add an additional client acquisition channel and your sales will increase.

Here are the 3 secrets

Lesson #1 Communities: I belong to two digital communities and I am usually very quiet in those communities. So recently I decided to change my ways and start engaging in them by contributing meaningfully to the conversations from my perspective WITHOUT SELLING ANYTHING OR EVEN TRYING TO. Then I noticed that people began to private chat with me because they found my perspective interesting and that lead to a sale recently. If you’re in a WhatsApp community please contribute to the conversation this establishes you as an authority and over time you’ll get mentioned and noticed which will eventually lead to conversations and sales.

Lesson #2 Start A Community: If you sell a product or service think about starting a community for your existing customers where you continually influence them with information about new products, how to maintain their existing products, sorting out customer service issues, and general life stuff. My children’s school has a WhatsApp community for parents. By serving that community some of them will introduce you to prosperous opportunities that you never thought of. I have helped members of my WhatsApp community get jobs, they have also helped me get jobs.

Lesson #3 Status Star: In 2017 WhatsApp introduced the Whatsapp status feature a self-deleting messaging feature. There are currently half a billion WhatsApp accounts using WhatsApp Status every day (Statista, 2019). The third way to make sales on Whatsapp is doing 30 seconds video with a clear call to action and posting it on your Whatsapp status daily.
