12 Commandments of sales prospecting: Ignore them and remain poor, receive them and win
Thou shall prospect everywhere and every time (Because you cannot control the hour the sale will happen) for as blood is to the human body so is prospective clients to a business. Run out of blood, run out of life. Run out to prospects to reach or who reach you, run out of cash.
Thou shall use all the prospecting channels available: text, phone calls, dm, email, whatsapp status, physical events, trade shows, email list and referrals. A rat with only one way of escape dies quicker or put differently “ In the multitude of counsel there is safety” The Bible
Thou shall accept that prospecting is hard, but like the success philosopher Jim Rohn said, “ Don’t wish things were easier, wish you were better” In other words focus on what you can control and leave the rest.
Thou shall dig thy well of prospects today before thou shalt get thirsty tomorrow. Don’t prospect when you’re desperately in need of cash, prospect daily so that when the needs (and they always arrive) of life arrive you’ll be able to graciously meet them. I recently flew to bury my mother from the UK and picked up the deed of assignment of my second property in Lagos. It is constant prospecting that is funding the quality of my life so when a prospect says call me in 30 days i lock it in my personally designed CRM.
Thou shall track the number of prospecting calls thou doeth per day. Because you cannot improve what you don’t measure. Show me the call or dm tracker sheet and i know you’re designed for sales success.

Thou shall not wait for perfect condition to prospect. You don’t need a perfect time, phone, clothes, weather condition. Just reach out and create new opportunities for your business

Thou shall call on the prospects spiritually and digitally: “ Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the LORD your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.” Isaiah 55:5 There is power in calling forth your customers in prayers it works. Also in your content, you can call out a segment the algorithm recognizes it and shows your content to them. For example in your videos saying things like “ If you’re a teacher, realtor, mum listen to this or gather here” That is a call out strategy and some of them will enter your dm or email which will inturn make you have a robust sales prospecting pipeline
Thou shall never be ashamed to prospect for business because “WHO SHAME EPP”
Thou shall realize that if your prospecting did not produce a sale you didn’t fail you got a feedback
Thou shall not wait for prospects to discover you. Go out, be on the offensive
Thou shall realize that prospecting is a skill. This means you must do it repetitiously, iterate, and adjust
