10 ways to handle failure
Business is tough, life is hard.
In business, you’ll have seasons of plenty — full of clients, opportunities, and sales.
And you’ll have seasons of scarcity — when clients go quiet and money slows down.
Fear not.
I know you have bills to pay, a family to feed, and obligations to meet.
But this season won’t last forever.
Here are 5 ways to handle this season:
1. Do more cash and client-generating activities
Book more meetings.
Post more on social media.
Make more offers.
Activity creates momentum — so stay in motion.
2. Don’t feel sad or sorry for yourself
Self-pity is useless.
Think about people who have done heroic things — fighting wars, crossing the Atlantic, or climbing mountains.
Compare your life to theirs and you’ll realize your struggle pales in comparison.
3. Watch your mouth this season
Stop speaking negative words just because your reality denies your expectations.
Speak life, not fear.
4. Go into prayer and reduce pressure
Pray.
Reduce your costs.
Reduce stress.
Sleep well, eat right, exercise.
Think about all the good things God has done for you in the past — and remember:
If He did it before, He can do it again.
5. Be open to new opportunities
Enter a new market with your old product.
Explore other streams of income within your industry.
Avoid regrets — especially thoughts like “I should have kept my job.”
No venture, no fortune.
This too will pass.
