10 ways to fail in sales this week
Ignore Your Leads: Don’t bother with prospecting or following up. Let them come to you if they’re interested. Because you know, you;re special
Have Zero Plan: Forget about setting daily goals or a structured sales process. Randomly reach out to whoever and whenever. Planning is for winners.
Use Irrelevant Pitching: Talk about everything except the customer's pain points. Mention how great you are.
Shy Away from Rejection: If you get rejected, sulk. Don’t ask for feedback or work on improving. Just take it personally and quit trying.
Avoid Listening to Your Customers: Talk over them, interrupt, and don’t listen to their needs. If they mention an objection, don’t try to resolve it. Just push your offer harder.
Don't Follow Up: Forget about the 5-7 follow-ups. One email or call is enough. If they didn’t reply the first time, they’re not worth it.
Make Excuses Instead of Taking Action: Tell yourself you're too busy, or the economy is bad, or people just aren’t buying right now. It's always someone else’s fault.
Ignore Your Competition: Don’t bother checking out what your competitors are doing. Stay blissfully ignorant of what’s working for others in the market.
Overcomplicate Everything: Make your sales process so complicated and technical that no one understands what you’re selling. Clarity is overrated, right?
Underprice Yourself: Keep slashing your prices just to get the deal, even if it means undercutting your value. The cheapest option is always the best, right?
