Saturday Morning Reflections
September 27, 2025 – with a hot cup of Ugandan filtered coffee in hand
Every Saturday, I like to reflect on my week. Writing these down is part therapy, part documentation of my journey. Here are the 6 lessons I learned this week:
1. Put necessity on yourself
This week I had a deadline that felt impossible. At first, I thought, “There’s no way I can pull this off.” But when I faced the consequences of not delivering, I tapped into a version of myself I didn’t know existed.
That version was dark, shameless, and ruthless.
The shame of failure, the fear of how people would perceive me it all disappeared. And I delivered.
It kind of reminds of of Parkinson’s law which states that “ Work will fill the space allocated to it”
Pressure creates diamonds. Don’t run away from it. Lean into it. It will introduce you to a new version of yourself.
2. You’re not entitled to the result
My last two YouTube videos did very well. 44,000 views and 18,000 views consecutively. Like the youngs ones say, “ Back to back hit”
But my most recent one didn’t perform as expected. Check it out here: Youtube/@paulfohthesalescoach
I felt disappointed until the Holy Spirit whispered to me: “You’re looking at the wrong metrics.”
Many of the creators I admire spent five straight years making videos that barely got 100–4,000 views. Today, they’re known worldwide, with both money and influence.
If they had focused only on short-term metrics, they would have quit. The lesson? You are not entitled to immediate results. Play the long game.
3. Read biographies, read biographies, read biographies
The more I study the lives of great men and women, the more I see patterns of resilience, setbacks, comebacks, and breakthroughs. If you want perspective, discipline yourself to read biographies.
You may be asking which biography I am currenting reading.
As i type heads phone one, listening to the flow state focus instrumental i am reading ‘WHO IS MICHAEL OVITZ’ I first bought the ecopy from amazon kindle and wow the book is so good i just paid for the physical copy today
4. If you put in the work, you will win eventually
One of my clients I’ve been coaching intensively has already done over ₦200 million in less than three weeks. Why? Because they put in the work.
Work works. When you do the work consistently, you win eventually.
5. Family dinners matter
Each time I sit down with my wife of 18 years and our three children whether for dinner, drinks, or even just small talk I feel a deep sense of gratitude.
I never met my dad. I grew up with my mum and brother in a one-room apartment in Warri. My mum sold clothes in Warri Main Market just so we could eat.
That’s why gratitude is a big deal for me. That’s why I cannot stand ungrateful people.
6. Walk your steps
This week I averaged 6,000 steps daily. At 50 years old, I feel fantastic—in health, in energy, in performance. Small consistent habits compound into strength.
These are my 6 lessons on life and business from this week.
